As the holding company of BASIX SEG Companies, it provides investment and strategic guidance to its subsidiaries in the areas of micro-finance and livelihoods and policy changes for the past 25 years.
BASIX SEG provides livelihood services through the provision of savings, credit, insurance, remittances, agriculture/business development services and institutional development services to more than 3 million poor. The services are rendered in Asia Pacific, South-East Asia, South Asia and Africa.
BASIX’s mission is “to promote a large number of sustainable livelihoods, for the rural poor and women, through the provision of financial and technical assistance in an integrated manner.” BASIX will strive to yield a competitive rate of returns to its investors to be able to access the mainstream capital and human resources continuously.”
