Supporting the livelihoods and lifeways of Black people across the globe who use, produce and work with: regenerative fibers, plant dyes, and sustainable or artisanal textiles. We mobilize our people to produce and process in harmony with each other and the earth.
This past February we collaborated with The House of Malico to film six of our network member businesses in three states across the Southeast: Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida. From these visits we learned more about our members' needs, desires, inspirations and skills. We discovered that this is just the beginning, and there’s so much more that can be done. From this trip there are several hours of footage that will be edited down to a short film about our network. We hope to conduct landscape assessments with more of our network businesses in the United States and globally.
