About BLUES EU project
🌊 BLUES Project: Pioneering Sustainable Bioprocesses for Marine Bioactive Compounds Join us at BLUES, where we're revolutionizing the production of valuable marine bioactive compounds. Our mission? To unlock the untapped potential of marine invertebrates through innovative cultivation systems. We've achieved groundbreaking success by establishing continuous cell lines from diverse marine phyla - Porifera, Cnidaria, Echinodermata, and Chordata. Our recent milestone includes the creation of the first-ever continuous marine sponge cell line, showcasing unprecedented cellular division rates across multiple species. At BLUES, we're designing the pathway to industrial bioprocesses, utilizing these marine invertebrate cell lines as a chassis for producing high-value bio-based compounds. Our focus on sustainability drives us towards eco-friendly alternatives to wild harvesting, ensuring a consistent supply of these compounds while fostering circular processing and a sustainable economy. Our cutting-edge technology isn't just a solution to stock production bottlenecks; it's a commitment to environmental stewardship and the advancement of the Blue Bioeconomy. Join us in reshaping the future of marine-based bioproduction and contributing to a more sustainable world. #SustainableInnovation #BlueBioeconomy #Bioprocesses
