Calm and Connected

Calm and Connected provides therapeutic intervention and education to children who experience behavioural, emotional and social challenges. We advocate for looking beyond the behaviour to support the needs of the child, so they can participate in home, school and community life. We value best practice and have completed training from international leaders in the field of paediatrics. At Calm and Connected, we are dedicated to using innovative practice to achieve client outcomes. We are passionate about training local therapists, parents and teachers to develop their ability to support children to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Our therapists work directly with the child, parents and teachers to provide practical strategies. We believe in teaching the adults in the child's life so they are able to implement therapy 24/7, not just when the therapist is with the child. We provide innovative services and are always adding new programs based on request from parents/teachers. Our current programs include: - Occupational Therapy and Psychology therapeutic services; home, school, community, online and clinic based for 2-22 year olds - Therapy Intensive's; overnight camps for children 8-13 years old - Day social skills groups, held at fun locations such as the zoo, mini golf and scitech - Parent and teacher workshops; online and face to face - School based programs; working in schools to deliver therapy in support education staff - mOTher's Education Retreat; weekend workshop and relaxation experience - Therapist training and supervision
