CAR-Directed BioSpheres (Mini-CAR) are innovative therapeutic agents that emulate the functions of T cells, Natural Killer cells, or macrophages. These miniaturized biospheres, derived from an allogeneic parent cell, house chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) and optional checkpoint inhibition tags. This unique design enables highly targeted and safe release of apoptotic proteins to diseased cells, offering a promising solution to the limitations of conventional CAR whole cell therapies in treating a variety of diseases, including solid tumor cancers and hereditary disease.
