The cereneo Foundation was established in 2017 as an independent, non-profit research institute with the mission to bridge the gap between technological innovation and clinical practice in neurorehabilitation. In 2023, it was integrated into the Lake Lucerne Institute as the Data Analytics and Rehabilitation Technology (DART) group.
DART@LLUI pursues three primary research axes:
• Large-scale, multimodal health data collection and analytics for computational health modeling
• Multimodal, real-time feedback systems to support motor learning in gait and balance
• Perturbation-based training protocols for fall prevention
While the group’s scope has expanded, our focus remains on developing, validating, and implementing digital health technologies in a patient-centered, real-world context. DART has successfully translated multimodal data acquisition systems into both clinical practice and home settings, leveraging high-resolution health data to train individualized models for prediction and intervention optimization. We remain committed to team approaches and open science and maintain a wide global network of partner research institutions and neurorehabilitation clinics.
