Darwin Biological is a British firm based just outside of Shrewsbury, the birth place of its namesake, supplying quality products to secondary schools, colleges and universities across the UK. Our History Our founders’ boast over 50 years of professional experience in the school science supplies industry – with a long focus on biological supplies – their relative was the British ecological geneticist, E. B. Ford FRS FRCP. A leader in the research of evolution and genetics, Emeritus Professor of Ecological Genetics, University of Oxford, Darwin medal recipient – Ford is best known for his work on genetic polymorphism and specifically moths, like the Peppered Moth from which Darwin Biological's logo is derived.
