Dignify is a UK-based youth initiative working to protect children and young people from the harmful effects of pornography, misogyny, and sexual objectification. Founded in 2019 and now part of One YMCA, we exist to create a culture where young people thrive in healthy, respectful relationships.
We do this through three strands:
📊 Research – Collecting large-scale insights from thousands of students through the Dignify School Survey to understand how porn and online culture are shaping their experiences. Our findings have reached national media, including Good Morning Britain and The Telegraph.
📣 Advocacy – Collaborating with partner organisations to shape national conversations on online safety, education, and sexual harm. We use our data and frontline insight to inform policy and contribute to parliamentary efforts to better protect children.
🎓 Education – Delivering school assemblies, lesson plans, workshops, and the Dignify School Survey to support whole-school change. We also equip parents, teachers, and youth leaders through tailored workshops and training.
Our work is trusted by educators, youth workers, and families—and is grounded in evidence, empathy, and the lived experiences of young people. With Dignify, schools gain the tools to challenge harmful norms and empower students to choose dignity over objectification.
