Environmental Conservation Community of Tanzania (ECCT): is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in 2020 with Registration Number 00NGO/R/0985. We aim to empower communities with knowledge and skills, encouraging sustainable conservation practices to foster a cleaner, greener, healthier environment supporting thriving communities. VISION is a harmonious coexistence between the people and their environment. MISSION is to tackle global environmental pollution, combat climate change, and protect biodiversity in both marine and terrestrial ecosystems by raising awareness and empowering communities to engage actively, educating them, and promoting sustainable conservation practices. Objective Summary To identify and leverage opportunities in environmental conservation to empower local communities toward social and economic self-sufficiency. Specific Objectives: Raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices through educational programs. Empower local communities with training and skill development for active environmental conservation. Reduce plastic and textile waste through cleanup campaigns, recycling programs, and advocacy for plastic alternatives. Implement climate change adaptation and resilience-building strategies in vulnerable communities. Increase access to safe water and sanitation services for all community members. Encourage sustainable natural resource management practices within local communities. Conserve biodiversity in marine and terrestrial ecosystems through habitat restoration and species protection. Advocate for policies and regulations that support environmental conservation and sustainable development. Inspire and empower youth through educational programs and leadership opportunities in environmental stewardship.
