I help senior-level and high-potential women accelerate their career and business success, by naming and claiming their authority to lead. When I first began coaching women leaders I had a favorite mantra: Have confidence in your competence. It still applies today. I believe that any change begins with first addressing what we think, since that impacts what we feel — which in turn influences how we act. I help each client focus on real work in real-time. We dive into her most pressing issues and through that refine her strategies for long-term success. I have been at the forefront of women’s leadership for more than 25 years. I bring strategy, research and executive experience to global companies and their top female talent. My original research at Harvard University on women’s experience in roles of authority formed the foundation of my consulting and coaching work with Fortune 500 companies such as Cisco, Goodyear, Marriott, Pfizer, and Schwab. Later, as the Global VP of Leadership Development at VMware, I launched the company’s groundbreaking business initiative, VMwomen, designed to attract, develop, advance and retain talented women. My new book Lead: How Women in Charge Claim Their Authority makes my wisdom and experience accessible to all women seeking to accelerate their careers. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area where I continue to coach and advise women leaders and executives worldwide, and I frequently speak to companies and at conferences.
