About Enpresso GmbH
We offer fed-batch technology for high protein yield and biomass concentration by using media tablets and a drop of enzyme. Enpresso utilizes its unique EnBase® technology platform to develop innovative, enzyme-based EnPresso® growth systems. We are the first company which makes it easy for every scientist to take advantage of the fed-batch cultivation by using advanced microbial cultivation media in small scale, like microwell plates and shake flasks or small bioreactors. EnPresso® growth systems are appreciated by scientists working with recombinant protein expression in academic research groups, pharmaceutical industries, or educational institutions. „You are what you eat” applies not only to humans, but also to microorganisms 😊 Keeping the carbon source, such as glucose, as a limiting factor in biotechnology processes is called fed-batch strategy. Similar as a pump speed, the feed solution controls the cell growth in bioreactors - the amount of added enzyme controls the glucose release from a metabolically inactive polymer and thereby the cell growth in EnPresso® growth systems. This patented innovation made fed-batch technology applicable across all lab scales. Enpresso GmbH develops fully dissolvable ready-to-use media tablets • to promote microbial cell growth • to support a stable pH • to regulate glucose availability for significantly higher cell densities and • to increase product yields. EnPresso® growth systems create optimal metabolic conditions thereby reducing the risk of incorrect protein folding and increasing the percentage of soluble protein. We believe that our Enpresso® products will be of great benefit to everyone working with recombinant protein expression in bacteria and yeast, as the advantages of ease of use and good results are convincing.
