The RCORP-Rural Center of Excellence on SUD Recovery at the Fletcher Group is a 501c3 not-for-profit that provides rural communities with the Technical Assistance needed to address the OUD & SUD crisis with safe, sustainable Recovery Housing. The Fletcher Group was founded in 2017 by Ernie and Glenna Fletcher to expand nationwide the innovative and highly successful Recovery Housing model Fletcher developed when Governor of Kentucky. That program, called Recovery Kentucky, eventually grew to 18 facilities and has helped thousands of Kentuckians recover from addiction while saving millions in taxpayer dollars. Its success has been documented in detail for eight consecutive years by university researchers, providing an unmatched volume of high-quality data with outcomes equal to or exceeding those found anywhere else. The Fletcher Group is comprised of nationally known Thought Leaders and Subject Matter Experts specializing in federal and state agency collaboration, community outreach, evidence-based treatments, social enterprise, outcome documentation, diversion from corrections and—perhaps most importantly—a blended funding business model that can, in many cases, facilitate the construction of large, self-sustaining recovery residences without incurring debt. Funded in part by a grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration, the company currently has Outreach and Engagement Specialists exploring partnerships in eight different states, from Kentucky, Georgia, West Virginia and Ohio to Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. Major partners include the National Alliance of Recovery Residences (NARR), the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Prevention Center (KPIRC) at the University of Kentucky, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, and the Foundation for the Advancement of Health Education (FAHE).
