GEAR is a visionary and innovative program to meet the challenges of a fast growing knowledge Society. GEAR Cubs are leaders. They create knowledge rather than being passive consumers.
GEAR Foundation's activities are a model to identify hitherto unidentified taletns and to develop gifts and talents of every child in a manner that everyone blossoms into a Gifted / Talented adult. The vision is to develop an empowered community and particularly its future generations; and the resources to do that lie with and within the community. GEAR's initiative is to pioneer new ideas in educating children, equipping parents and training teachers and parents and create a Global Community.
Education at GIIS is hands-on activity oriented and these activities are designed with various aspects of Intelligences and Gifted Education like the Multiple Intelligences in mind. GIIS is considered to be a catalytic centre for education activities and hence involvement of parents and the community in general is quite welcome and expected. There is a research-based rationale for each of these activities being designed the way it is being done.
