We develop and apply novel technology to produce green chemicals from fat-derived by-products and carbon dioxide ("waste and emissions") to replace fossil-based resources.
Our UPCO2R process transforms glycerol and CO2 into valuable alkyl carbonates, while our FLEXT technology converts free fatty acids into sustainable esters. These solutions offer industries sustainable, localised production that creates value while increasing resource efficiency, lowering carbon footprint, and reducing environmental and health impacts.
Our office and laboratory is located in Kópavogur, production of eco-labelled care chemicals ("Grænni") in Hafnarfjörður and production of renewable fuel (Orkey) in Akureyri.
