The Global Jamaica Diaspora Youth Council (GJDYC) was established by the Jamaican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade to engage, empower and organize youth of Jamaican heritage in the Diaspora and mobilize them to connect and contribute to Jamaica’s development. With formal representation in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Jamaica, the GJDYC has hundreds of global members working toward the advancement of Jamaicans in their respective communities and on the island. Furthermore, as one of the only diaspora entities with direct liaising capability with the Jamaican government, the GJDYC works with MFAFT to advance diaspora relations and the overarching draft National Diaspora Policy.
