Great Southern Copper

Great Southern Copper (LSE:GSCU) is a UK-listed mineral exploration company focused on advancing its Especularita copper-gold-silver project in Chile, a globally significant mining jurisdiction and the world’s largest copper producer and exporter. The Company holds the option to acquire 100% of the Especularita project, which is located within the highly prospective and underexplored coastal metallogenic belt, providing excellent access to infrastructure and mining services plus allowing year-round exploration activity. The early-stage Cu-Au-Ag project is within the same metallogenic belt as other major coastal producing operations including Teck’s Carmen de Andacollo mine. Small-scale and artisanal mining activity has historically been very active across the project area and highlights its strong copper-gold potential. As demand for copper continues to rise, driven in part by the clean energy transition, Great Southern Copper is strategically positioned to contribute to future supply and support the global market. A two-year exploration and evaluation program is underway, focused on identifying large-tonnage, low to medium-grade porphyry Cu-Au targets across the project area.
