Green Flag Association (GFA) is registered as a nonprofit organization in Kenya and its committed to contributing meaningfully to environmental sustainability in Kenya and beyond. Overall goal is to advance and promote excellence and integrity environmental management practices in Kenya and to ensure that the practice continues to thrive ethically and professionally both in public and private institutions and within our communities GFA aims also to contribute to the improvement of environment and climate change skills and awareness through vibrant campaigns, education, sensitization, training and capacity Building in schools, businesses and within our communities to explore environmental issues, engage in problem solving, and make informed and responsible decisions to improve the environment We also work closely with business to develop strategies for energy efficiency and a low-carbon economy in their processes, products, services, in their supply chains and in shaping consumer and public attitudes At GFA we also believe that creating resilient and green urban communities requires responsible investments and consumption, that leads to sustainable resource use, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and reduced vulnerability to climate change as well as creating cleaner neighborhoods. Our programmes aims as strengthening networking opportunities and working with diverse stakeholders such as county governments, civil society, corporates and community organizations in planning and sustainably undertaking localized cleanups campaigns, tree GFA is open to collaboration with individuals and organization (SDG17) for the fulfilment of the diverse SDGS related to environment and climate change
