The Indie MEGABOOTH created a globally curated community of indie game studios that participated in showcases, industry conversations and alumni scholarship programs. The IMB team consisted of 6-12 employees and contractors and managed annually up to 150 companies during showcases, submissions of up to 600 games a year and a robust alumni community of over 800 companies. Over 900 unique titles from studios spanning 36 countries were showcased at IMB events in 33 global events in the span of a decade.
The Indie MEGABOOTH created a stepping stone into the games industry for emerging studios and individual creators which was supported by multiple grant programs, curated partnerships and community mentorship. Many well known indie titles and studios were discovered through the IMB community and networks, which in turn helped support the next generation of creators.
IMB was independently owned, bootstrapped and was fully supported by sponsorships and community donations throughout the entirety of its active period.
