KeshetUK is the UK's only LGBT+ Jewish education and training charity! We are on a mission to ensure that Jewish LGBT+ people and their families are included throughout Jewish life in the UK.
Founded over a decade ago, our work takes us into Jewish schools, youth and young adult organisations, synagogues, and wider community organisations to become more inclusive of LGBT+ people through education and training. We are proud to work with all UK Jewish communities including Liberal, Masorti, Orthodox and Reform, cross-communal and non-denominational organisations.
Jewish communities are diverse and there is no single approach that will work for everyone. Our work in education can include curriculum development, staff training and delivering sessions to young people, we tailor the approach for each space we work in. Our community work involves training, consultancy, focus groups and our new work in helping LGBT+ Jews find meaningful rituals as a route back into community.
We are really proud to be the only organisation of our kind in the UK. We may be a small team of 4 staff and 15 amazing volunteers, yet last year we worked with over 4000 young people across the UK, helping them understand and prevent harmful behaviours. Our work is vital and having a huge impact on the lives of LGBT+ Jews across the UK.
