The LeidenForce project is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network (MSCA-DN), the European Union's reference programme for doctoral education and postdoctoral training #HorizonEurope We aim to comprehensively study the #LeidenfrostEffect and propose novel applications, either to mitigate its adverse effects or leverage its advantages. Our research objectives: *Hift the fundamental understanding of the transition to the Leidenfrost state *0ptimize the heat transfer between the droplet and the substrate *Utilize the isolated droplet to manipulate small amounts of liquid in unconventional scenarios *Harness the vapor film to capture or confine particles using an external electrical field.
