Welcome to the Thermal Two-Phase Flow Laboratory located at the Department of Energy and Process Engineering (EPT), at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Our aim is to advance the understanding of fluid mechanics processes, and heat and mass transfer mechanisms in two-phase flow systems in gas-liquid and liquid-liquid systems, under adiabatic, boiling, and condensing conditions. We study solid-liquid interfacial interactions and the control of the wetting dynamics by designing and fabricating micro- and nano-structured surfaces, and the interaction of acoustic fields with the fluid and particles dispersed in the fluid. Our research approach combines experimental, numerical, and analytical methods.
