Leuser International Foundation - Yayasan Leuser Internasional

Leuser International Foundation (LIF) is a Non-Government Organization focuses on natural and wildlife conservation especially in 2,6 million Ha of rich biodiversity Leuser Ecosystem Zone located in Aceh and North Sumatra provinces of Indonesia. The foundation has 30 years of conservation experience in protection of natural resources and endangered species, nature based solutions, carbon project, sustainable agriculture, community development, research & development, and capacity building for environmental stakeholders and policy makers. At program implementation, LIF frequently partners and engages with development actors e.g. policy makers/ authorities, academicians and civil society. The foundation was established in 1994 by several prominent figures, i.e. active ministers, environmentalists, academicians and regional leaders from Aceh and North Sumatera provinces of Indonesia
