Founded by Bob Rhodes and led by a talented team of Directors (https://livesthroughfriends.org/biographies/) we were set up in response to seeing too often that people with complex or challenging reputations don’t get a Good Life and that the dominant system response of ‘placement finding’ is a long way from what is needed to enable a life of potential and purpose.
LivesthroughFriends has extensive experience in providing independent expertise to design, source and coach individualised support for those with complex reputations.
We are here to support people who are excluded and their families to secure their Good Life.
Our offer to statutory bodies is to guide them through an understanding of how traditional placement finding approaches too often fail, and to demonstrate an alternative approach to designing life plans and bespoke support arrangements that deliver better outcomes and with less reliance on public funding.
We work on individual cases, but in so doing are keen to assist Commissioners to build robust and skilled in-house capacity to undertake more effective work with subsequent clients.
