Macrina Bakery opened during 1993 in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle. Our artisanal breads and pastries quickly endeared us to many. Since then we’ve added five more cafés; an incredibly talented team of bakers, cooks and pastry chefs; and the best wholesale customers the Pacific Northwest has to offer. At heart, Macrina’s rustic-style breads and pastries are inspired most by the traditional recipes and baking methods of Italy. Our baked goods are made with local ingredients whenever possible, such as Northwest apples, potatoes, cranberries and hazelnuts. The flavor of our breads and pastries is enhanced by locally sourced, freshly milled whole grain flours including wheat, rye, barley and buckwheat flour.
