The globalized research, the reduction of cost per production unit and the optimization of its quality, are without a doubt the key ingredients of new products and services which constitute the competitive advantage and the growth factor of the industry. MeDiLab, being at the forefront, is constructing a curriculum, at the undergraduate level, which familiarizes the future Industrial Engineer with the ideas of tomorrow, by studying the needs of today, taught by the experiences of yesterday. The curriculum includes courses such as Machine Elements, Mechanical Design, Mechanical Drawing, Production Technologies I (metallurgy, heat treatement, NDT etc.), Production Technologies II (programming of machine tools, SOLIDWORKS design, SOLIDCAM design etc.), Reliability and Maintenance of Technological Systems. While the instructive part of MeDiLab focuses on the future engineers, there is also a part which tries to deminish the gap between university and industry. Such act is been made by providing services at industries from many different sectors. Services like designing, planning, constructioning and diagnosing are just a few of the areas of expertise of the faculty of the Lab. The cutting edge technologies provided at MeDiLab and the past projects, are the proof of constructive and innovative mindset of this Lab and guarantee a productive cooperation with possible partners.
