About Motive Labs
Medical devices and diagnostics should be developed by people who care for people. Our healthcare origins began with vision loss. Over time our team has advanced innovation and development of medical and performance exoskeleton devices and systems. We center our efforts on human motion and are committed to understanding the lived experience of individuals who have to work daily to triumph over daily challenges. We receive translational research funding from multiple prestigious bodies, including the National Institutes for Health (NIH), National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the UK National Health Research Services. Our research focuses on bringing wearable robotics to market for the rehabilitation and prevention of complications from Diabetic Foot Ulcers, MS, Stroke, Fall-Risk, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) and musculoskeletal injury. Our research and development efforts are also supported by the Defense Health Agency to address the needs of military personnel, working with Special Forces operators and Service members in improving human performance while accelerating recovery and return to duty, aiming to sustain readiness and reduce early medical separation. In collaboration with esteemed academic and research institutions, including Johns Hopkins, USC, Baylor College of Medicine, Kings College - Belfast, University of Arizona, University of Nebraska-Omaha, UCONN, University of Virginia, and the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, we are at the forefront of pioneering health and rehabilitation technologies. Open Innovators, our consulting brand, delivers specialized innovation services to engineering, life science, and technology organization, including Pfizer Global R&D, Eaton, Genentech, PACCAR, SAE, Binney & Smith, Cadbury, Warner Lambert, as well as many leaders in pharmacy, clean diesel, IOT, retail and consumer packaged goods.
