MR COD is one of the leading fast food take-away and restaurant chains specialising in fish and chicken. Established in 1979 when MR COD opened its first UK outlet near London, the company has since expanded by franchising the business both in the UK and abroad. The company has typical American fast food systems, with specialised American cooking equipment that is available on a worldwide basis. MR COD was launched and is still directed by Mr John Brewer. He is one of the original pioneers of fast food franchising in the world, and as a director of Kentucky Fried Chicken was at the forefront of launching this company in the UK. He was also a founder member of the British Franchise Association.
