Our mission at NeuroBioniX is to develop and clinically implement medical bionic technologies to 1) restore sensorimotor function in the extremities, and 2) alleviate pain caused by sensorimotor impairment.
Our research has been led by Prof. Max Ortiz Catalan, first as the Biomechatronics and Neurorehabilitation Laboratory (BNL) starting in 2016, and then in 2020 as the Center for Bionics and Pain Research (CBPR). From 2024, as NeuroBioniX, clinical care is as integral to our core mission as conducting research!
