ABOUT NURSES UK Nurses UK is wholly owned by its founder Roisin Preston, who started the business in 2015. Roisin is still actively involved in Nurses UK and will be your main contact on your franchise journey. We’ll let Roisin tell you a bit about herself... You could say that healthcare and business make up part of my DNA. My mother was an NHS nurse. In fact, she was the youngest sister aged 24! My father and all of my uncles run their own businesses, so as you can imagine, I had role models in both nursing and business. I started my career in recruitment in a business that was not particularly organised or profitable. I turned the business around and progressed from consultant to area manager. I always knew however, that this would just be a stepping stone to owning my own business. Just as you will do as a franchisee, I started small supplying a few nurses that I knew would provide a quality service. Based on our service, our reputation grew as did the number of nurses who wanted to work with us and the number of clients who wanted to use our services. From the two offices that I own, Nurses UK now boasts a multi-million-pound turnover. It was the demand for our nurses throughout the UK, that gave me the impetus to expand through franchising. We now supply to some of the largest care groups with care homes covering every part of the United Kingdom. The Nurses UK brand is both recognised and recommended by senior decision makers in the care sector.
