About Pakistan Village Development Program (PVDP)
Pakistan Village Development Programme (PVDP) is a Non-Governmental Organization registered under Societies Act 1860 (Reg. No. 3226/5/2813). The organization since its establishment in 1999, works for “building a just civil society by harnessing the creative energies of poor and underprivileged”. This aim is achieved with the close collaboration ofpartner communities and development organizations through a participatory, demand responsive, gender and poverty sensitive integrated development approach in the Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. PVDP interventions mainly focus on achievements in domains/program areas including, Human & Institutional Development, Education, Primary/Reproductive Health Care, HRs and WES. These programs have been executed in collaboration with CHIP/SDC, CRS, NCA, Trocaire, World Vision, Peshawar Dioceses, AusAID, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNESCO, ESRA-RTI, WFP, Interact World Wide, FHI/USAID, Muslim Care, Give2Asia/PCP, ICMC, World Population Foundation, CIDA, Global Fund and National AIDS Control Program. Mr. Zaka Ullah Khan founded PVDP in 1999 and has evolved in 18 years as one of the largest Non-Profit Organizations of the country with an integrated development model, GBV, HIV&AIDS and disaster management expertise. PVDP has a network of 04 offices across the KP province and FATA with its head office in Peshawar. PVDP has access to more than 0.5 million population in 200 villages settled in 5 Districts of KP and 2 agencies of FATA, Pakistan. PVDP strength is 7 volunteers Board Members, more than 200 full time staff and thousands of community-based volunteers of more than 300 formed committees. PVDP is certified by Pakistan Center of Philanthropy (PCP) and Tax exempted by the Income Tax Department Government of Pakistan. PVDP is accredited with European Union. PVDP also possess membership with Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP), Eliminating Violence Against Women (EVAW) alliance, Child Response Movement (CRM) and Disaster Risk Management (DRM).
