Participatory Village Development Programme (PVDP), founded by Mr. Dominic Stephen in 1997, began in District Tharparkar, Sindh. Registered on June 15, 1998, under the Societies Registration Act 1860, PVDP's mission is to support disadvantaged communities for holistic social change. Operating in poverty-stricken, disaster-prone Sindh districts, PVDP has been active in drought mitigation in Tharparkar and flood relief across Khairpur, Thatta, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, and Sanghar since 2010. Partnering with organizations like Catholic Relief Services and Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe, PVDP focuses on poverty reduction, primary healthcare and education, community empowerment, and disaster response. Governed by a professional Board of Directors, PVDP emphasizes quality, transparency, and accountability. It received NPO status from the Pakistan Center for Philanthropy in 2009 and 2012.
