Through a range of unique programs, Pelican Bomb aims to make New Orleans a more sustainable place for artists, writers, and administrators to thrive. Pelican Bomb's mission is to build infrastructure to support local artists and connect people with their work. Pelican Bomb is dedicated to sustaining the visual arts in New Orleans with an innovative system for its progressive arts communities. . We fulfill our mission through our online publication (Art Review), pop-up exhibitions (Roving Exhibitions), affordable art collecting (Community Supported Art), a residency for visiting arts writers (Critic-in-Residence), and public programs. Pelican Bomb aims to build greater awareness of contemporary art in the city, create professional development opportunities for artists, and make artists' practices more accessible to audiences.
