Power to Prosper is a movement that seeks to put economic power in the hands of communities.
For too long, Black and minoritised communities have been disproportionately impacted by problem debt and poverty due to an economic system that was not designed to benefit them. We are changing that by ensuring resources, leadership, and ownership sit where they belong—in the communities that have been historically excluded.
We do this through four core workstreams:
Community Organising – Strengthening leadership, building networks, and ensuring power is shared, not concentrated.
Resource Shifting – Moving funding and decision-making into community hands for long-term economic resilience.
Asset Building – Supporting communities to develop community ownership, financial models, and infrastructure that secure long-term prosperity.
Transforming Narratives – Challenging stories about debt and poverty that focus on the individual rather than the wider global, historical, and structural oppressive systems.
Why does this matter? The current economic system was never designed for us. We are creating community-led models of prosperity that last.
