Pride In Surrey

Pride in Surrey is a volunteer led, award winning Pride organisation that is part of Surrey LGBTQ Pride CIC. As a not for profit community interest company our aim is to serve the local community, understanding any challenges and celebrating its successes. The mission of ‘Pride in Surrey’ is simple. It's to celebrate the inclusion and diversity of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer + (LGBTQ+) culture and community within Surrey and neighbouring counties whilst also connecting the community with one another and its allies. Pride in Surrey's team will educate both the general community and the LGBTQ+ communities about the needs, troubles and various other aspects of LGBTQ+ culture. Pride in Surrey will always celebrate the community and provide a forum to share the history and accomplishments of the LGBTQ+ people whilst establish how we can also improve and educate those who don’t necessarily understand it. This includes the always under-represented intersectionality that exists within the community. In addition to all of the above, we shall identify existing and create new welcoming environments for socialising, networking and outreach of services and community opportunities for LGBTQ+ people plus friends, families and acquaintances.
