ProTarget Study

Our mission is to make personalized cancer care accessible to all patients, by leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovative research. How is this done? ProTarget is a Danish, investigator-initiated, phase II, clinical trial and national academic collaboration committed to explore the efficacy and safety of molecularly targeted drugs when they are used for treatment outside the EMA-approved label and when patients are allocated based on their genomic profile. How do we succeed? An important partner for ProTarget is the Danish National Molecular Tumor Board (DNMTB). All patients who can potentially be included in the protocol must have their drug-variant-match discussed and confirmed before thay can be enrolled in the trial. DNMTB is an interdisciplinary collaboration in Denmark consisting of health and research professionals deeply involved in precision oncology. Furthermore, ProTarget is deeply engaged in the pan-european precision cancer medicine trial network and EU-consortia, PCM4EU and PRIME-ROSE, that aim to facilitate the implementation of molecular cancer diagnostics for precision oncology and promote the access to personalised cancer medicine for all EU citizens. This collaboration provides the framework for pan-European data sharing, accelerating evidence-building and enabling us to succeed with our mission even for rare genomic variants and diagnoses.
