The Ronald McDonald House Charities® Greater Western Sydney Chapter provides holistic support and essential services to over 3,500 families with sick and injured children each year.
The Ronald McDonald House in Westmead is a 60-room home away from home for families from rural NSW, interstate, or overseas while their child receives life-saving treatment steps away from The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW).
The Greater Western Sydney Chapter also provides education services, allowing sick children and their siblings to remain connected with their schooling and learning. These include in-house programs, school holiday programs, and tutoring support through the Ronald McDonald Learning Program.
Non-resident families are also supported through the Day Pass Program, which gives families receiving care at CHW day access to meals, facilities, and programs at the Westmead House.
At the NICU and children's wards at Nepean and Campbelltown Hospitals, Hospitality Carts provide bedside relief and comfort to sick kids and their families through comfort items and boredom busters.
The Greater Western Sydney Chapter is a not-for-profit organisation that relies heavily on support from individuals and community and corporate groups to maintain operations and continue providing much-needed services to seriously ill children and their families.
