The Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney operates the following programs: * Ronald McDonald House Randwick * Ronald McDonald Family Room Royal North Shore Hospital * Ronald McDonald Family Room Wollongong Hospital * Ronald McDonald Family Room Sydney Children’s Hospital * Ronald McDonald Learning Program Since opening in 1991, Ronald McDonald House Randwick has provided a home away from home for 31 families a night, every night. We also provide all the facilities that you would have at home, so you can travel light. But our House provides more than just the practical necessities of life. When families have to travel far from home to receive medical care for their sick child, finding affordable accommodation in an unfamiliar city only adds to their stress and anxiety. So when families’ lives have been turned upside down, we offer a warm, welcoming place to stay that is supportive and understanding. We try to offer a little bit of normal when life is disrupted, painful, and confusing. The role of our caring staff and volunteers is to lighten the families’ load and to ensure that they are offered the help and support they need to be able to focus on what really matters – their family.
