Every story has a silver lining, and after working for many years at the finest restaurants in town - from Harrods Sushi Bar, Sushisamba, Roka, Umu to Nobu, our award-winning chefs decided to embark on the challenge. It was in 2016 that Sanjugo was born, and with it came many hurdles, but with persistence, it has succeeded and spread its wings with the opening of a second branch.
“Sanjugo” also has its own narrative, which in Japanese means 35. Not only is it part of our address numbers, but there is also a deeper meaning hidden within. San (叁 = 3), Ju (十 = +), Go (伍 = 5), equals Eight, meaning "Fortune, Luck, Joy and Wealth" in East Asian Culture, which is the vision we aim to translate with all of you.
