Sea & Learn Foundation

The mission of Sea and Learn Foundation is to bring together members of local communities, nature experts and visitors to further their understanding of the value of preserving, protecting and sustaining natural environments on Saba and beyond. We're proud of what we have accomplished since our founding in 2003. We have hosted 280 experts who have delivered multi media presentations and led field projects focused on the natural environment to more than 25,000 participants. Subjects have ranged from sharks and algae to orchids and iguanas. Over time, our board realized that protecting local cultural heritage was just as important as safeguarding the environment. In 2016 our mission statement was broadened to embrace cultural resources. We developed Create & Learn programming to inspire creative potential and ensure the survival of indigenous arts traditions.
