Swapro is a group of people passionate about the seaweed industry. We are firm believers in its potential for our country's sustainable growth. Though everyone is aware and convinced about the positive impact of seaweed on the planet's future, the contours are still shaping up. Swapro is in the same boat. Like the industry itself, we are still a little green (pun intended) in understanding the commercial viability and scalability of this industry. Our mission at Swapro is to make seaweed and its derived products mainstream and to bring its goodness to every individual. Currently, We are cultivating seaweed in Mandapam, Tamil Nadu with more than 100 operational bamboo rafts in collaboration with the local fishing community. We have also installed our proprietary HDPE Circular pod near Dhanshkodi, Rameshwaram and initial results have been really encouraging. On the product side, we are proud to introduce “Jaltaru”, our 100% sea weed extract based bio stimulant developed with the patented technology of India’s premier research institute CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
