Our Mission is to Keep Faith with the American Doughboy. Since our inception in 2013, working in partnership with the U.S. WWI Centennial Commission, we have played a key role in envisioning, building, and now enhancing our nation’s new World War I Memorial in Washington, DC. We do this through the sounding of Daily Taps at the National World War I Memorial, expanding access to the Memorial via mobile apps, organizing signature events and presenting Stories of Service that encourage learning about America’s pivotal role in the War that Changed the World. Through the generous support of many organizations and individuals, the Doughboy Foundation will continue its mission of stewardship for the National WWI Memorial and the remembrance of all those who served and sacrificed in WWI.
