Third Place Bar is a non-alcoholic pop-up bar in New York City that hosts social events without the booze. Third Place Bar was founded by Sam Bail in December 2022, as a response to the lack of "third places" in the city that allow people to make social connections without revolving around alcohol.
Since it's launch, we have run dozens of events, partnered with several venues across New York City and Brooklyn, and reached hundreds of attendees. In addition to hosting our own events, we have worked with organizations and businesses such as the Playwrights Horizons theater, The Phoenix non-profit, Heatwise Yoga, Nusweat workouts, and McGolrick nights to bring alcohol-free beverage options to a wider audience. In summer 2023, we also launched a series of zero-proof cocktail education classes with Minus Moonshine, a non-alcoholic bottle shop in Brooklyn.
The long-term goal of Third Place Bar is to establish a physical location in Brooklyn that will function as a coffee shop, non-alcoholic bar, and community hub to provide a true third place to everyone who's curious about connecting without the booze.
