VFIS of Texas is the leading provider of insurance for emergency service organizations, fire departments, volunteer fire departments, and ambulance and rescue squads in the state of Texas. VFIS, based in York, PA, developed the first insurance program for Emergency Service Organizations in 1969. VFIS of Texas became the Texas Regional Director for the VFIS program in 1985. By working together, VFIS and VFIS of Texas now insure over 1,500 non-profit Emergency Service Organizations in Texas and continue to provide the broadest coverage and best customer service in the state.
Regnier & Associates, Inc dba VFIS of Texas opened our doors in May of 1982 as an independent insurance agency in Austin, TX. In 1985, Cynthia Regnier was named as the Texas Regional Director for the VFIS program. In 1992, with the continued success and growth of the VFIS program, the agency decided to dedicate our time and resources exclusively to the VFIS program. Over the years, VFIS of Texas has developed a lasting relationship with the Emergency Service community and we promise to continue to provide the high level of service that our clients have come to know and expect.
The agency is a member of many Emergency Service organizations, including the State Firemen's and Fire Marshals' Association of Texas, Texas Fire Chiefs, SAFE-D and many district and regional groups. We are also active in the Texas Legislature to help the Emergency Service community with legislation to help their cause and livelihood, as well as increased funding.
