Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas

Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas is the link to workforce development throughout the region. We link employers to a large pool of skilled workers. We connect job seekers to training opportunities. We help youth identify career and training options for their future. We link employers to training options for their workforce. And, we link workforce, economic, and community development for the continued growth of our region. Technically speaking, Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas is a non-profit organization created by the Texas Legislature, Senate Bill 642. Our organization makes decisions about the direction and future of workforce development programs for the local area. We serve as the administrative entity for a number of workforce programs funded through state, federal and local grants including the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and Trade Act Assistance (TAA). We are not a government agency, and we are not a direct service provider. We are governed by laws and regulations set forth in both state and federal legislation. Our services are provided by a team of professional staff members through our four workforce center locations. We partner with a number of organizations throughout the region including economic development entities, chambers of commerce, colleges and school districts to strengthen the region’s workforce.
