YORKTRIBE Events began in Sheffield with a mission to bring together the South Asian student community through vibrant club nights. Starting with its first Annual Desi Freshers Night in 2021, YORKTRIBE attracted over 250 attendees in a single room. As word spread, the community grew to include South Asian working professionals, immigrants, and families settled in Sheffield. By 2024, the annual Desi Freshers event, "Udta Sheffield," drew an impressive 700+ attendees across two rooms, showing the growing demand for these cultural gatherings.
One of YORKTRIBE's most celebrated events is the annual Holi Festival, a colorful celebration introduced in 2022 with 500 participants. By 2023, this event evolved into the "COLORTOWN Festival," attracting over 700 attendees, and in 2024, it drew an astounding 1,100+ participants. Hosted each March, COLORTOWN has become a flagship event where community members come together to celebrate with vibrant colors and music, embracing tradition and unity.
Today, YORKTRIBE stands as a leader in creating spaces for South Asian culture to thrive, making every event an opportunity for people to connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories in Sheffield.
