CurrentI have spent the first 10 years of my career building a solid foundation in finance, first qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, then progressing to advising clients on M&A transactions, and then on to executing and managing investments. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 Big 4 accounting firm I began my career at Deloitte and completed my CA training while delivering external Audit services to Financial Services clients. I then moved into the Corporate Finance practice at Deloitte, still specialising in Financial Services, to work on Financial Due Diligence projects across buyside and sell side roles for corporate and PE clients. Joining the Scottish National Investment Bank In 2021 I moved into the investment team at the newly established Scottish National Investment Bank. At SNIB I was in the Scalable Technology team where our focus was sourcing, assessing, and executing minority growth equity investments in Scottish technology companies, with a particular focus on cleantech. During my time at SNIB I supported 8 companies across various transactions, investing a total of c.£70m of capital. 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐈After a building a strong relationship with the team I am now working on the £134m Aliter Capital II fund which, since its launch in December 2022 has created four platform businesses in;• IT Networking• Healthcare Data Analytics• Technical Services• IT Recruitment and ResourcingWe actively seek to make further investments in these and other areas of the support services sector.
