Technical Advisor attached to the SIPED II and CEWRR programs. SIPED II is a USAID funded program currently implementing a portfolio of peacebuilding rapid response activities in partnership with local civil society. The EU, Dutch and USAID supported CEWRR program partners with the Ministry of Peace to upgrade and reform their existing Conflict Early Warning and Rapid Response (CEWRR) mechanism.

Juba, South Sudan

Oversight of a team of South Sudanese nationals who manage grants in support of peacebuilding and stabilization. Developed the strategy for a "roving" team, which allows the VISTAS program to work in new locations with a light footprint and without full-time offices and staff present. Oversaw the roll out and management of the roving team, including expansion of the VISTAS program to Yei, Yambio and Wau. Otherwise, grants supported by this position emphasize civil society, media and peacebuilding activities in Juba, or "multiregional" activities which are nationally minded.

Provide support to program activities for South Sudan's "Viable Support to Transitions and Stability" (VISTAS) program - supported by USAID's Office of Transition of Initiatives (OTI). Based in Juba, management of non-regional grants, such as support to the creation and implementation national-level trauma programming and research grants. Support to regional grants as needed covering Jonglei, Upper Nile, Unity, Lakes and Northern Bahr el Ghazal States.

Management of WASH, health, nutrition and NFI and emergency shelter response teams - responding to rapid-onset emergencies throughout South Sudan.• Managed emergency responses related to internal displacement, refugees, returnees, disease outbreaks, neglected tropical diseases, and flooding.• Managed donor strategy, budgeting, proposal writing and grant management which led to program growth from $4.5 million to $9.5 million (USD).• Managed a team with over 45 full-time staff and up to five geographically distinct emergency response locations at a single time.• Revised emergency response strategy towards faster, shorter and higher impact responses.• Led Medair emergency response teams in assessments and interventions on the ground in active conflict zones in summer of 2013.

Responsible for developing new grants and projects for the Samaritan's Purse South Sudan program, and supporting existing projects.• Wrote five successful proposals and budgets for institutional donors for a total of $2.8 million (USD), for WASH, food security and health projects, all of which was new funding.• Wrote and managed agreements with UNICEF, UNFAO, and IOM for cash and gift-in-kind.• Wrote grants and provided support for Water, sanitation and hygiene; health; and food security projects.• Created reporting templates for all South Sudan grants and agreements, and created internal reporting guidelines for area coordinators.
