I am currently a graduate student in the CHRD (Counseling Human Resource Development) program at South Dakota State University on the Clinical Mental Health track with an emphasis in play therapy. My goal is to be able to extend play therapy to individuals of all ages utilizing techniques and methods of various sorts. I hope to be able to collaborate with different mental health agencies and/or hospitals in the future. Prior, I earned my undergraduate degree at South Dakota State University in psychology with an art minor; before admittance, I was awarded the Freshman Talent Art Scholarship and the Campanile Scholarship. I am currently employed with ADVANCE as a DSP (Direct Support Professional) in Brookings, SD; for which I have been involved with for about 4 years now. I also mentor through BCYMP (Brookings County youth Mentoring Program). I became a member of Chi Sigma Iota, as well as a member of the Golden Key Honor Society. I recently became an intern with Brookings Behavioral Health and Wellness: The Ivy Center.
