I am a transitioning Air Force enlisted service member after 8.5 years of active duty. During my enlistment as a cyber systems specialist, I developed and honed my skills in several technology areas, including private cloud computing, cyber security policy and implementations, network infrastructure engineering, configuration management, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability management and task automation via advanced scripting and tool making. As my knowledge and experience grew, I became certified as a CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) and as a VMware Certified Practitioner (VCP) as well as obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking & Cyber Security, with a minor in Information Systems Management. Along with these credentials came the increased responsibility in my technical field, where my area of responsibility dramatically increased from managing IT services and infrastructure for 5,200 users (8,600 nodes and end-client devices) across 5 remote locations to overseeing the virtual infrastructure providing core services and defensive capabilities for the entire continent of Europe (estimated 74,000 users), 42 remote locations, a network estimated at $84B. Finally, I promoted to the role of Functional Lead for six separate entities providing these virtualized core services, spanning the entire globe on Air Force networks, both classified and unclassified. This role enabled me to lead a hand-selected team of field experts in the procurement, design, and deployment of a $15M technology refresh across 21 remote location in the span of a calendar year, successfully migrating over 500TB of virtual application data.Obtaining my Bachelor's degree near the end of 2021, I developed a further interest in the cloud technologies and cyber security fields and am seeking a career in either, or both, as I begin my journey back into the civilian world.
