About Adam Tugwell
People and Communities have always been important to me. After corporate management training and operationally focused roles, I developed a wide range of project management and service development skills creating, transforming and building not for profit services for charities and local government, addressing social disadvantage at individual and community level. Reaching senior management with a national charity whilst I was in my twenties, I consolidated my community engagement skills by reengaging and developing a large, federated network of user groups, led by volunteers and medical professionals.Highly creative and entrepreneurial, I established my first company winning a large distribution contract with a national news group as a startup, developing a 19-vehicle operation to take over a regional news contract with a seamless handover in a month, achieving Investors in People Accreditation within 18 months, employing disabled staff through the DWP Two Ticks Scheme in frontline customer facing roles. Interested in the genuine role of politics to achieve positive outcomes, I was first elected as a local Councillor in 2003 and served for 12 years, including a term as a Town Councillor, another as a Parish Councillor and two terms as a Borough Councillor where I also served for 4 years as Chair of a Licensing Authority.Prioritising a long-term caring commitment from 2015, I have extended my experience as a volunteer, management consultant and coach, regularly writing books and blogs focusing on Socioeconomic Change and related issues. This led to my attending the Royal Agricultural University where I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security during the 23-24 academic year. I offer a wide range of consultancy level business management and strategic development skills that include accreditation as a civil and commercial mediator and am proven in people-centric public facing roles where the ability to operate as an ambassador, navigate political issues and apply deep technical understanding in real time are essential.I am seeking a senior position where I can contribute my skills, experience and knowledge within a lead role where I can oversee the achievement of meaningful outcomes for end users and the community, whilst developing staff to reach their full potential in roles delivering beneficial outcomes for target individuals and groups.
Listed skills include P&L, Tupe, E Commerce, Investors In People, and 45 others.
